Where Will Upstart Stock Be in 5 Years?

Upstart (NASDAQ: UPST) went public on Dec. 16, 2020. The online lending marketplace priced its initial public offering (IPO) at $20, and its shares skyrocketed to a record high of $390 on Oct. 15, 2021. It initially dazzled the market with its explosive growth rates, rising margins, and artificial intelligence (AI)-driven advantages.

But by May 3, 2023, Upstart's stock had sunk to its all-time low of $11.93 per share. Rising interest rates chilled its business, compressed its valuations, and drove its growth-oriented investors toward more conservative investments. Today, it trades at about $63.
