Monday turned out to be a solid day for the stock market. Gains were most significant for the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJINDICES: ^DJI), but the Nasdaq Composite (NASDAQINDEX: ^IXIC) and S 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC) managed to recover from losses earlier in the session and post modest gains as well.
