The coronavirus pandemic is far from under control at this point, but investors are already looking past the crisis and its inevitable aftershocks to try to capitalize on future opportunities. Gains for the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJINDICES: ^DJI), S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC), and Nasdaq Composite (NASDAQINDEX: ^IXIC) amounted to between 1% and 2%.
