Six Flags: How Does the Ride End?

Six Flags (NYSE: SIX) investors are going for a wild ride, with shares in the theme-park operator in free fall after weaker-than-expected revenue guidance.  Management expects North American sales to come in softer than expected, while international projects have run into unexpected setbacks.

Investors will have to wait until fourth-quarter results come in Feb. 13 to know the full extent of the damage. But it may still be safe to stay inside the car -- Six Flags's international projects aren't a big part of its business, and the fourth-quarter sales decline may not interrupt the company's long-term growth trajectory.
