Shipping ETF (BDRY) Hits New 52-Week High

Breakwave Tanker Shipping ETF BDRY is probably on the radar for investors seeking momentum. The fund just hit a 52-week high and has moved up 92.6% from its 52-week low price of $7.43 per share.

Are more gains in store for this ETF? Let’s take a quick look at the fund and the near-term outlook on it to get a better idea of where it might be headed.

BDRY in Focus

The underlying Capesize 5TC Index, Panamax 4TC Index & Supramax 6TC Index measure rates for shipping dry bulk freight. The product charges 350 bps in annual fees.

Why the Move?

BDRY is rising because dry-bulk freight rates and expectations for future shipping rates have strengthened sharply in 2026. Breakwave's August report indicated that dry bulk market continues to trade at historically high levels with no immediate signs of a correction, per Amplify ETF’s Bi-Weekly Industry Report issued on Aug. 4, 2026. Geopolitical disruptions and longer voyage distances removed ships from available capacity.

More Gains Ahead?

BDRY might continue its strong performance in the near term, with a positive weighted alpha of 69.49 (per Barchart.com), which gives cues of another rally.
