PulteGroup, Inc. (NYSE: PHM) announced today that its Michigan division has been awarded a 2019 Top Workplaces honor by The Detroit Free Press. Award winners are selected based on nominations and an evaluation of the company’s organizational health and engagement as submitted by their employees.

“It is an honor to be named a Top Workplace in Michigan. We are passionate about creating an engaging culture that inspires employees to do their best work, and it is incredibly rewarding to know that this award was based exclusively on feedback from our team,” said Kevin Christofferson, Michigan Division President for PulteGroup. “This award is consistent with our company’s broader culture as PulteGroup was recognized as a Great Place to Work-Certified™ Company earlier this year.”

The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection.

“The Top Workplaces award is about much more than recognition and celebration,” said Eric Rubino, CEO of Energage. “Our research also shows that these organizations achieve higher referral rates, lower employee turnover, and double the employee engagement levels. It just goes to show that being intentional about culture delivers bottom-line results.”
