You may be more familiar with the major stock indexes than you think. There's the Dow, of course, whose full name is the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJINDICES: ^DJI), and the S 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC). There are some interesting differences between these indexes, such as the fact that one contains all of the "Magnificent Seven" stocks and the other, until recently, held only two.
