Effective 1 July 2024 Reinhard Grimm will take over the role of Executive Vice President ATM Civil from Hannu Juurakko. He will be responsible for the worldwide ATM civil business of the Frequentis Group.

Currently Managing Director of Frequentis Germany, the Austrian Reinhard Grimm (48) has a 25-year track record in the IT and telecommunications industry. He has wide international experience, having worked for Siemens Convergence Creators in Vienna, Los Angeles, and Hamburg for several years. In the US Reinhard Grimm built up a local subsidiary dealing with Over The Top (OTT) Multimedia Solutions as well as LTE technology for local telecom providers. In Hamburg he was heading a global business unit in the avionics and passenger infotainment domain.

Prior to that Reinhard Grimm was director of the Frequentis Business Unit Public Safety. Since 2017 he has been successfully leading two Frequentis companies in Germany.

He will follow the retiring Hannu Juurakko, who joined Frequentis in 2012 to take on responsibility for the strategic and commercial development of the ATM civil business.

"Hannu Juurakko has been instrumental in the transformation of our ATM business, mainly developing ATM to a growing supplier with a complete portfolio and uniting the business unit into one unified ATM organisation. The Frequentis Executive Board would like to thank Hannu for his great commitment and wish him all the best for his well-deserved retirement", says Norbert Haslacher, CEO Frequentis. "Reinhard Grimm brings both international experience and a profound Frequentis background, along with developing and managing new business. I would like to welcome Reinhard to his new role and wish him every success."
