Dow Jones Rises as Walmart Unveils Walmart+, Apple Stock Price Targets Raised
The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJINDICES: ^DJI) was modestly higher Tuesday afternoon, although it trailed the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite by a wide margin. The Dow was up 0.23% at 1:20 p.m. EDT.
Walmart (NYSE: WMT) and Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) were the Dow's big winners. Walmart stock rose after the retailer unveiled its Walmart+ membership program focused on grocery delivery, while Apple stock jumped after analysts raised their price targets.
