HELMA Eigenheimbau AG publishes 2019 annual report and withdraws annual forecast

Lehrte, March 23, 2020 - HELMA Eigenheimbau AG has today published its 2019 annual report on its investor relations website (www.ir.helma.de), confirming the record figures it announced in its corporate news on March 4, 2020. Based on these results, a dividend payment of EUR 1.85 per share is planned for the past financial year. Like in previous years, more than half of the profits will be used to further strengthen the equity.

Despite the best conditions relating to the order book position, which at the end of the financial year was up by 18 % year-on-year, as well as a very promising project pipeline, HELMA finds itself compelled to withdraw its guidance owing to the latest developments surrounding the COVID-19-pandemic.

HELMA - as it is the case with the entire building industry - is potentially subject to the consequences that the COVID-19-pandemic and related global measures will exert on the economy. The emerging negative economic trend and its consequences will also affect HELMA's operating business. It will probably only be possible in the course of the year to predict exactly how this will unfold. At present, the company's Management Board continues to assume that significant net income will continue to be generated in 2020. However, expectations as they existed originally when the annual financial statements were prepared, and which are published in the 2019 annual report, are currently no longer considered realistic.
