According to a report by the International Energy Agency (IEA), electric car sales reached 6.6 million in 2021 compared to 3 million in 2020 and 2.2 million in 2019. That brings electric car global market share to 9% compared to just 2.5% in 2019.
Selling more cars is one thing, but supporting those cars through a safe and reliable network of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations is vital for mass consumer adoption. ChargePoint Holdings (NYSE: CHPT) has a dense network of charging stations in North America and Europe.
