Autobauer testen Blockchain-Identität für PKWs
Einer Pressemitteilung vom 14. Oktober zufolge wird die Mobilitätsinitiative MOBI gemeinsam mit fünf führenden Autobauern ihr Blockchain-ID-System für Fahrzeuge ab nächstem Monat in den USA testen. Die Kooperation mit BMW, General Motors, Ford, Renault und Honda entwickelte das VID („blockchain-based Vehicle Identity“) zur Fahrzeugidentifikation sowie als Bezahlsystem.Konkret werden Autos in Zukunft digitale IDs besitzen, die mit den Autobesitzern verknüpft sind.
