30% of My Retirement Is in These 5 Stocks: Here's Why I Believe They're Winners for 2022


I own 30 stocks in my retirement account. Some of the companies are promising, but still have a lot to prove. Individually, each of those accounts for just a small percentage of the value of my overall portfolio. However, other companies have more proven business models, and their share price gains have significantly expanded their importance among my holdings.

In fact, just five stocks account for roughly 30% of my retirement portfolio: social media company Pinterest (NYSE: PINS), equipment rental company United Rentals (NYSE: URI), fintech company Block (NYSE: SQ), law enforcement partner Axon Enterprise (NASDAQ: AXON), and home-improvement retailer Floor & Decor Holdings (NYSE: FND). And even though these five represent outsized percentages of my net worth, I will continue holding them in 2022. Here's why.
