Summary
- At a recent price of $46, AGO trades at a $44 discount to its adjusted book value per share of $90.18.
- While Puerto Rico restructuring has been messy and expensive, we are much closer to the end than the beginning, and AGO should recover a good percentage of claims paid.
- Once Puerto Rico is resolved, AGO will have a clean insurance book and should be highly profitable. Municipalities are benefiting from very low rates and spreads.
