Anyone know if a worn suspension can cause uneven tire wear this fast?
I'm going through my second set of front tires in less than a year on my 2018 Hyundai Tucson, and I'm starting to think there's something seriously wrong with the suspension. The inside edges of both front tires are completely bald, while the rest of the tread still looks fine, which I know is a classic sign of a camber or toe issue. I had an alignment done about six months ago, but clearly that didn't solve the underlying problem because the tire wear is even worse this time around. I took it to a tire shop and they said it could be worn control arm bushings or maybe a bad strut that's causing the geometry to shift while driving. Honestly, I'm getting frustrated because I keep spending money on tires and alignments without actually fixing the root cause. I've been doing some research and I found this website that explains the relationship between suspension wear and tire damage, which helped me understand why the alignment keeps going out. But now I need to find a mechanic who can properly inspect all the suspension components and tell me exactly what needs to be replaced, not just do another alignment and send me on my way. Has anyone here had a similar issue with their Tucson or other Hyundai models and found a fix? I'm tired of throwing money at this problem and just want to get it sorted once and for all.
