Foncière du Montout and Olympique Lyonnais have acknowledged the decision handed down today by the Lyon Administrative Court, which will not have any special impact on the completion of the project.
The Greater Lyon Community Council's decision of 18 April 2011 has been cancelled because of a procedural irregularity. The Court has ruled that the opinion of the Service des Domaines, the Finance Ministry department responsible for valuing publicly-held properties, was not fully communicated to the members of the Community Council prior to their meeting on that date. The Court has further ruled that this situation can be corrected and that “the contract can remain in force, provided the Greater Lyon Community Council retroactively approves, in accordance with procedures, the unilateral sale commitment authorised under the decision of 18 April 2011.”
The items making it possible to correct this situation will be supplied in the very near future.
Olympique Lyonnais reconfirms that the stadium will enter into service for the 2015/16 season.
