What Happened in the Stock Market Today

Also, a report from the Institute for Supply Management indicated that the manufacturing sector contracted in November for the fourth straight month, further dampening sentiment. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJINDICES: ^DJI) and the S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC) closed down, with the real estate sector seeing the biggest losses due to rising long-term interest rates.
