Should Microsoft Fear This $5 Billion Startup?

Slack recently raised $250 million in its latest funding round, with over half that total provided by Softbank's Vision Fund. The round valued the workplace messaging start-up at $5.1 billion, up from a valuation of $3.8 billion last April. 

Slack recently announced that it had six million daily active users (DAUs) and two million paying users. That's up from five million daily users and 1.5 million paid users in January.
