Only 16% of Workers Are Doing This 1 Thing to Prepare for Retirement

Preparing for retirement can be a challenge, particularly if you're strapped for cash. Just over a quarter of workers have less than $1,000 stashed away for retirement, according to a report from the Employee Benefit Research Institute, and nearly half have less than $25,000 saved.

Although saving isn't easy, it's crucial to start planning early so you have a better chance of building a strong nest egg by the time you retire. And there's one trick to saving more that very few people are taking advantage of, new research reveals.
