Harley-Davidson Is Spending a Half-Million Dollars to Win the Racing Crown Back From Indian

After dominating the sport of flat-track racing for so many years, Harley-Davidson (NYSE: HOG) was dealt a stunning upset last year, after Indian Motorcycle returned to the circuit following a more-than-60-year absence and swept the top three positions.

With the Indian Wrecking Crew sitting astride the purpose-built Scout FTR750 bike, Jared Mees, Bryan Smith, and Brad Baker swept the 2017 American Flat Track season with 14 total wins, 37 podium appearances, and six podium sweeps. In fact, Mees alone set a single-season record of 17 podium appearances.
