Karin Dohm to join Boards of Management at Hornbach Baumarkt AG and at Hornbach Management AG

A change has been made to the composition of the Boards of Management within the Hornbach Group. At their meetings today, the Supervisory Boards of Hornbach Baumarkt AG and Hornbach Management AG appointed Karin Dohm as a new member of the Boards of Management of the two companies as of January 1, 2021. By extending their Boards of Management, the companies are preparing at an early stage for the succession to CFO Roland Pelka (63). After nearly 25 years of board responsibility at Hornbach, Roland Pelka will be retiring from the Boards of Management at Hornbach Baumarkt AG and Hornbach Management AG during the next financial year.
 

Karin Dohm (48), a graduate in economics, began her career in 1997 at the consultancy Deloitte & Touche GmbH, where she qualified as an auditor and tax advisor. In 2010, she became a partner at Deloitte before moving in 2011 to Deutsche Bank, where she held international management positions such as Chief Accounting Officer - Head of Group External Reporting and Chief Financial Officer at the Global Transaction Bank. Since January 2016, she worked as Global Head of Government & Regulatory Affairs and Group Structuring, in which role she was responsible for regulatory affairs and the government contacts of the Deutsche Bank Group. Karin Dohm is married and has two children.

Karin Dohm has also been appointed to the Board of Management of Hornbach Management AG as of January 1, 2021. As successor to Roland Pelka, she will also assume the function of CFO on the Board of Management of Hornbach Management AG in the course of the new 2021/22 financial year.

Hornbach Management AG is the general partner of Hornbach Holding AG & Co.
KGaA. The Board of Management of the general partner manages the business of the KGaA and represents this company towards third parties. Hornbach Familien-Treuhandgesellschaft mbH owns all of the shares in Hornbach Management AG.
