Eckert & Ziegler: Strong Growth in Revenues and Earnings in 2nd Quarter Berlin, 27 July 2022. Based on initial, unaudited assessments, revenues of Berlin-based isotope specialists Eckert & Ziegler Strahlen- und Medizintechnik AG (ISIN DE0005659700) for the second quarter increased by 26% from 45,3 to 56,9 mm EUR. Compared to last year’s second quarter, the net income only increased by around 5% from 8,5 to 8,9 mm EUR. However, the direct comparison is misleading, as untypically low taxes were recognized in the previous year due to special effects. Using Earnings before Taxes as a comparator, profits in the second quarter of 2022 rose by around 60% from 8,7 to 13,9 mm EUR. Prime reason for the profit increase, apart from favourable exchange rates, were stronger sales in the Isotope segment of industrial products and radiopharmaceuticals.
